Proceeds from the Horse Trial directly benefit the Pony Club and support the education of our members.  These events also benefit the ENTIRE equestrian community and the surrounding area by providing a nationally recognized competition which draws from near and far.  The cross country course has been described as a "jewel in the crown of the Cook County Forest Preserve" and has been entirely upgraded and maintained through the efforts of the Fox River Valley Pony Club.  Although the Horse Trials occur over one weekend a year, the rest of the year trail riders, hikers and conservationists enjoy the natural paths the horses gallop across on cross country day.
